Beautiful Spring Wedding at Mallory Court

Updated: Oct 29, 2018

To say this day was a challenge would be an understatement - it's not everyday that I'm asked to photograph another photographer's wedding. But here I did just that - no pressure, then.

I first met bride Rebecca when we both exhibited at the same wedding fayre. Since that day we kept in touch and a few years later I was touched that she and Paul asked me to capture their special day. Despite the pressure, I jumped at the chance to shoot once more at this stunning venue, and as a stylish bride who knows what she wants, I knew the day would be amazing. I rose to the challenge and captured her day in the same way I would any other.

Rebecca & Paul married on a lovely sunny day in May at Mallory Court.

My colleagues at The Wedding & Events Lounge provided multiple services on the day: in addition to myself on photos, Beth made the cake, and the rest of the team was on styling duty!  We were also joined by the fab guys from VOWs on video again (check out their highlight video here!)

In the morning Rebecca, her adorable daughter Clara, and the rest of her bride squad got ready in the lovely bridal suite. Rebecca's hair was beautifully styled by the fab team from MODE with Rochelle O'Brien on make-up, whilst Paul prepared for the big day at the other side of the hotel.

Rebecca wore a stunning Maggie Sottero whimsical dress from Serendipity Brides, shoes by Carvela, and her bouquet by Stemsations. She looked gorgeous!

Once ready, the ceremony began in the restaurant, followed by a drinks reception on the patio, complete with a Spanish guitarist.  The wonderful team at Mallory Court then turned the restaurant around for a beautiful intimate wedding breakfast.  Rebecca chose elegant low level mercury glass, votives and fresh flowers, rose gold trims and stationery that looked truly elegant.

On to evening, the Knight Suite looked amazing and very sparkly! Rebecca's friends and family were lovely and really great fun - and we even had an appearance from a newly born premature baby as guest of honour. After cutting her rose gold, ruffle & lace wedding cake (complete with a ferrero rocher tier!) Rebecca's dad organised some surprise fireworks for everyone to enjoy on the lawn.

Please do check out Rebecca's work over at By Rebecca Photography - it was a true honour to be asked to work on the wedding of a fellow photographer, and a friend.
